May 6th, 2011

Substitutions in cooking are good to use. They are healthier, and some even taste better. Some smart substitutions in cooking are when using butter, try using half butter and half margarine. This tastes better and makes it a lot more on the sweet side. Start using wheat bread instead of white bread, use fat free or low fat cream cheese, and use rolled oats instead of bread crumbs. Also, use turkey bacon or a lean prosciutto instead of regular bacon. Use the whites of eggs or an egg substitute instead of real eggs. Use fat free or low fat salad dressing, or perhaps flavored vinegar. All of these substitutions will make your food healthier, and taste better.
